Hanoi Bible College ("the College") respects the privacy of visitors to hbc.edu.vn and of applicants, students and supporters. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and what rights you have over it, in line with Vietnamese personal data protection law.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through the forms on this website:

• Contact form: your name, email, phone number, subject and message.
• Admissions enquiry and application forms: your name, date of birth, phone, email, home church and anything you share about your calling.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address.

When you browse the site, our system records some technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages viewed, so we can count visits and block spam. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you on other websites.

2. How we use it

• To answer your questions, give advice and arrange campus visits.
• To receive and assess applications and stay in touch with applicants during admissions.
• To send newsletters and event news if you have subscribed.
• To produce statistics, improve the website and keep our systems secure.

We never use your information for commercial purposes.

3. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. It is shared only:

• With staff and faculty responsible for handling your request (for example, the Admissions Board reviewing an application).
• With the local church that recommends an applicant, when details in the application need to be confirmed.
• With competent authorities when required by law.

4. How long we keep it

• Contact messages: up to 24 months after they have been dealt with.
• Unsuccessful applications: until the end of the next admissions round (about two years), then deleted.
• Applications of admitted students become part of the academic record and are kept under the rules for academic records.
• Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.

5. Keeping it safe

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Data is stored on access-controlled servers; only authorised accounts can see contact messages and applications, and every action in the admin system is logged.

6. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw your consent, and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in each email or by contacting us. We will reply within 15 working days.

8. Changes to this policy
